There’s an on-site bakery churning out freshly baked treats all day. Although Aldi stores usually have plenty of bread and pastries, they don’t have bakeries on the premises. Lidl stores, however, churn out freshly baked treats several times a day.
Lidl have bakeries but this is a loss leader and will prevent them offering lower prices. Aldi refuse to do this preferring to cut prices. We have therefore opted to use Aldi, visiting Lidl occasionally but finding them unpleasant to use in our area.

One recent Aldi Find was a product that has come to symbolize life in 2020: a face mask. Aldi not only is now requiring customers to wear one, but Aldi also sells them. These disposable face masks are an Aldi Find, which means they’re only in stores for a limited time.
There are roughly 1,600 brick and mortar locations of Aldi in the United States and only 94 Lidls. Both have free parking. Lidl is usually open from 8 a., and m. To 9 p. m. Aldi is usually open from 9 a., and m. To 7 p. m.
Does aldi require face masks?
They do now: Just a heads up for everyone, so you’re not surprised at the store. ALDI already requires that customers wear face coverings in many stores (according to local mandate), but this will now be required in all stores nationwide.
