ALDI periodically promotes and sells LED light bulbs under the name ‘LIGHTWAY’. It seems ALDI has done away with the ‘Muller Licht’ brand from previous years (which got some terrible reviews). Although only on offer very infrequently, they’re worth reviewing given their generally low price points.
When we were researching we ran into the query “Where are Aldi light bulbs made?”.
The bulbs are backed by a 1-year warranty, which according to Aldi is serviced by Sengled, a Shanghai-based lighting manufacturer. The box indicates they are made in China.
There is always a slight delay when turning on an LED, but the Aldi bulbs were just a hair faster turning on compared to the GE LEDs and generic hardware store LEDs we had in the house. It also stays on a split moment longer than the others.
Also, where can I buy LED light bulbs?
You can find LED bulbs nearly everywhere: at your local big box store, your local hardware store, even your local pharmacy. I also see them at my local big grocery store. Every once in a while, even Aldi sells them. Lightway LED Light Bulbs are an Aldi Find, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
The ALDI lights range from 78 to 89 lumens/watt. Our comparable Philips light bulbs, on the other hand, range from 93 to 124 lumens/watt. In other words, you’ll get more light for less energy cost from our Philips LED bulbs. Summary: Our LED downlights are much more likely to deliver a compatible and appropriate lighting solution.

The ALDI Mattress has an incredibly low price that makes it an attractive option for many Aussie bed shoppers. In reality though, this mattress is notably deficient in comfort and quality. There are definitely better options in this price bracket (see our recommended alternatives further down).
You are however allowed to return the mattress under the ACCC’s guidelines, though it will be a rather tedious process to get a fully expanded mattress back to an Aldi store. We suggest doing as much research as you can on the mattress’s comfort level and find out what other’s say about it before making a purchase.
